Management Profile

The Management force behind Borneo Life is essentially the gelling of a core team of enthusiastic people making up of the Chai family members with professional representative support from key countries throughout the world.

Also we would like to add that we harness a lot of support from Malaysia Tourism Promotion Boards across the world, Sarawak State Ministry and Sarawak Tourism Board. Elsewhere some of the Malaysian Associations worldwide also rally behind our cause. With Sarawak as a place to invest in the future, we will be in liaison with principal Malaysian Embassies as well as Trade Bodies and Business Chambers of Commerce in the near future.


Key Personnel are:

Chai Kian Khek, aka Victor Chai (Position - Managing Director)

Chai Kian Khek has vast experience in general and commodity trading and haulage industry from being involved in the management of a Malaysian group of companies based in Kuching, Malaysia (Syn Min Kong Sdn. Bhd). Under this group he was instrumental in making one of its subsidiary companies, Syn Min Kong Enterprise Sdn Bhd. into one of the largest haulage and transport businesses in Kuching, Sarawak.

Since 2004 he has been the Managing Director of Borneo Life Sdn Bhd, a Kuching property and management company. Borneo Life is involved in the tourist and management business specialising in welcoming foreign nationals to visit or live in Malaysia. Other activities include property renovation and construction and accommodation provider.

He is one of the key consultants of the Company and also a director of Big Ben Limited, a UK based property management company.


Chai Kian Khiong aka Samuel Chai (Position - Executive Director)

A Chartered Certified accountant by profession, Samuel Chai Kian Khiong worked at the National Audit Office, London, United Kingdom auditing government departments and statutory bodies for well over 15 years. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants spending several years of his career working in Malaysia. An associate of Chessons, a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants and Registered Auditors based in London, United Kingdom, he has been actively involved in UK and overseas property market specialising in property renovation and new build in the last few years. More recently he has been helping foreign nationals buy Malaysian properties after setting up Borneo Life Limited to promote Malaysia as a tourist destination and as a place to set up second home.

He is one of the key advisors of the Company. In addition he sits on the board of Big Ben Limited, a UK based property management company.

Alexander Chai (Position - Operations Manager)

Based in the UK, Alexander helps in looking after operations worldwide. With his IT and co-ordination skills he is able to project our image worldwide. In addition he sits on the board of Big Ben Limited, a company which is encouraging foreign investments into the UK.
