Promoting SARAWAK, Island of the HORNBILLS
"A niche Sarawakian company with big heart for SARAWAK trying its best to put SARAWAK (BORNEO) on the tourism world map"
Borneolife has been actively promoting Sarawak worldwide over a year ago. In recent months, this has stepped up a gear. After our familiarisation tour of China with the State Tourism Ministry and Sarawak Tourism Board we are now busy trying to make ourselves known in Europe, Russia, America, Australia, Africa and of course to build up on progress in China. Our campaign has reached the Tourism Malaysia Promotion Boards (TMPBs) in Germany, Sweden, France, Italy, Russia and the UK with some of these having responsibility over more than one country on the European front; TMPBs of Los Angeles, New York, Canada on the American side; Perth, Melbourne and Sydney (covering New Zealand) on the Australian end; and South Africa TMPB. We are also promoting actively the second home programme to Malaysia. Of course there is more ground to cover elsewhere and it is a question of time and resources.
THE STATE (SARAWAK), THE COUNTRY (MALAYSIA) AND THE ISLAND (BORNEO) all have so much to offer to the world.
SARAWAK - land of HORNBILLS, land of the HEADHUNTERS, land of the most spectacular CAVE SYSTEM (MULU NATIONAL PARK), some of this untouched by human for over a century is something to behold. It is one of only two sites in Malaysia recognised as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, a priviledge only enjoyed by a few in SOUTH EAST ASIA with the light of Angkor Wat, Halong Bay and Hoi An Ancient Town.
SARAWAK has so much more - many species of life have not yet been known to man. A rich bio-diversity unravelled elsewhere. Its extraordinary unique culture and history, wide-span nature and a sea of adventure are all for everyone to experience. A little known fact - RAFFLESIA, the world largest flower, is found in Sarawak too.
We must look after and perserve where we should, all this but at the same time be enjoyed by every man and woman in the world on a sustainable basis.
We at BORNEOLIFE, are so proud of our Heritage - the heritage of the WORLD. With the recent announcements making Sarawak a target area of elevated development having a 10years corporate income tax exemption status and the scrapping of Real Property Gains tax we would see a much better prospect for the State.
