As a result of the announcement in March 2008 by the Prime Minister, the middle region of Sarawak is to be designated as the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE). Huge investment will be pouring into the region and is expected to generate many jobs and opportunities aiming to make Sarawak into a developed state by 2020.
