Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program
 |
Borneo Life can offer assistance to foreign nationals when they consider applying for Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program. The program would allow them to stay as long as possible but initially up to 10 years (depending also on the expiry of current passport) and is renewed on a social visit pass with a multiple entry visa. A few of our clients who bought properties opted for this program. As a further attraction to coming to settle down in Malaysia the scheme offers great benefits and more details can be obtained from the official website at www.motour.gov.my However for those interested in coming to settle in Sarawak are advised to look into the guidelines for Sarawak and this can be found at www.mudtour.sarawak.gov.my Borneo Life is pleased to let you know that for Sarawak, a One Stop Agency was specially formed by the State Tourism Ministry to help applicants with their applications hence doing away with the need of an agent.

Borneo Life is pleased to note that Sarawak has been earmarked as one of the 5 regions like Iskander Economic Region in Johor, Northern Corridor Economic Region, East Coast Corridor on Mainland Malaysia and Sabah Corrider to receive a package of incentives. For this, six industries within these regions have been identified: - Creative
- Education
- Financial Advisory and Consulting
- Health Care
- Logistics
- Tourism
As a result of the announcement in March 2008 by the Prime Minister, the middle region of Sarawak is to be designated as the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE). Huge investment will be pouring into the region and is expected to generate many jobs and opportunities aiming to make Sarawak into a developed state by 2020. We are now waiting for the yet to be formed authority to spearhead the programme (RECODA). We will attempt to update you on this development as we get it.
